November 9, 1937 – March 12, 2020
Peacefully, after a short battle with pulmonary fibrosis, Claire passed away at Kirkland and District Hospital in her 82nd year.
Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and Nanny. Born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Claire was the daughter of the late Liz and John Sullivan. Claire is survived by her husband Glenn, her sister Ann O’Grady, her brother Mervin (Jenny) Sullivan, her children Ann (Derek) Shillinglaw and Mark (Theresa) Conrad. Lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren: Kamryn, Mackenzie, Adam, Curtis, Callum, Brady and Kendall. Claire will also be missed dearly by her many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Claire was a very spiritual person that held God close to her heart. She always made time to have meaningful conversations with people that crossed her path. Everyone will surely miss her kind heart and loving smile.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kurki and all the nursing staff on the 4th floor for their compassionate care.
A private family interment ceremony will be held in the spring in Kirkland Lake.
If desired, memorial donations made to the Kirkland and District Hospital Palliative Care Unit, 145 Government Road East, P2N 3P4 would be much appreciated by Claire’s family.
