BRASCH, Delmar – Passed away at the Toronto General Hospital on February 23, 2020 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by his father Daniel Brasch and his mother Dora (née Marquardt). He was also predeceased by his infant niece Sarah. He is survived by his wife Vivianne (née Castonguay) of Kirkland Lake, his brothers Kenneth and Darcy (Karen) both of Pembroke, his nephews Ian Brasch (Leanne), Wade Brasch (Melissa), Joshua Brasch (Ginger), Timothy Brasch (Amanda), his nieces Tracey Crigger (Darrell), Kelly Yantha (Richard) all of the Pembroke area. He is also survived by his in-laws Margot (Norm) Jolette, Lucille Dinel, Marcel Castonguay (Jeanne), numerous great-nieces, nephews and friends.
Delmar was born in Pembroke and travelled to Kirkland Lake to attend Northern College in the 60’s. From that moment on, he always considered himself as a Kirkland Laker. He also had a soft spot for the home he had at the Indian River Club in Vero Beach, Florida. Upon graduation, he worked many years at Heath & Sherwood (64) Ltd., as a mechanical engineer technologist designing mine mill sampling equipment and developing his love of mining and gold stocks. From 1990 to 2011 he owned and operated BDR Drug Mart alongside his wife. He never considered himself a “retired” man, only one who was jobless which he had imprinted on a vanity license plate “JB LESS”. He loved golfing and had many opportunities to play a round with good friends and family. He cherished each and every round he played.

Dear Delmar in heaven,
May all your drives be long and straight
May every putt go in on the first try,
And may there be a gathering place where you can share good stories.
You will be in our hearts forever. We will meet again sometime on the first tee in heaven.
Rest in Peace. Your work here is done.
