Gary was born in Kirkland Lake and grew up in Dane. His work took him to Kapuskasing where he made some lifelong friends from Northern Telephone. Gary moved back to Kirkland Lake after a few years where he raised his family and enjoyed the finer things in life such as; woodworking, fishing, spending time at home with his best friend Koko and tending to his garden. Gary was a quiet man who always enjoyed a good laugh. He will be remembered for always being there to help a lending hand to whoever needed it.
A celebration of life for Gary will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 87 in Kirkland Lake on Tuesday October 8, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Kirkland Lake District Hospital.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Kirkland Lake Hospital for their services and to friends and family who visited him in the last couple years.
